The original is an oil painting on flat canvas. The painting has a layered earth tone background with bright colorful flowers and leaves. The light reflects through the petals of the flower giving it a sense of glowing. The actual flowers was painted black first than the color was added; this technique made the color of the flowers pop. The different hues and shades of the leaves give the painting a seasonal feel. The purple used on the leaves give the painting a touch of fantasy.
